Two possible directions:
A) A series of brief drabbles (i.e. "sometimes they're chatty, laughing like they'd never died" // "sometimes they aren't like words at all, just sensory emotions, sharp and dark and violent")
Research component: watch all Miles scenes to see how he describes his reactions to this phenomenon, because I've been hella ignoring him since he appeared
B) A oneshot maybe-OC fic, detailing the impressions he gets of a life story from the ghost of one or two particular people, women maybe, or... *pause* Possibly...Alex and Karl! TWISTY GHOST LOVE, I TOLD YOU I COULD DO IT SOMEHOW. They'd probably be less about innocent & light-hearted stories and full of weird warnings and messages he can't quite figure out.
Or, you know, something.
Research component: find out which random Others/Hostiles/Dharmas have died, and any possible backstory that could be used therin
